Moody plc are pleased to announce that they have acquired the business of Alfred & Co.

For over 70 years, Alfred & Co have been serving the ice cream industry from their North London factory. As the UK agents for WCB Ice Cream, Technogel, Soren, Crepaco, Glacier, Technohoy, Vitaline, PMS, Promco, Grafton and Anderson, Alfred & Co have offered their customers the best of new and used ice cream equipment.

The Moody Group of Companies have been serving the dairy, food and beverage industries for nearly 30 years from their base in Retford, Nottinghamshire. Now, through the acquisition of Alfred & Co, they will be in a much stronger position to support the ice cream industry as well.

As a result of this acquisition, the Moody Group of Companies will now be able to offer the ice cream industry an unrivalled package of new and used equipment, service and spare parts.

Through the Moody Direct operation, Alfred's customers will benefit from a much wider scope of supply of spare parts that will include established brands such as Gaulin, APV, Tetra Pak and GEA.

The multi-skilled Moody Service team will offer a broader scope of supply of maintenance contracts and emergency support.

Moody Systems, in conjunction with Alfred & Co, are able to supply some of the world's leading brands of new equipment. Moody Systems' huge stock of second-hand tanks, pumps, pasteurisers and homogenisers means that Alfred's customers will have an even greater choice of equipment to suit their budgets.
